Device groups allow users to group and organize devices based on device functionality. Before creating a device group, identify the unique characteristics that distinguish a device group from other devices in the network.
Device groups enable the following capabilities:
- Manage multiple devices simultaneously instead of performing actions on individual devices.
- Manage standard configuration settings across multiple devices with similar functionality.
For example, create a device group with a specific authentication configuration. Assign devices to that group and push a configuration change to the device group. All of the devices assigned to that device group are reconfigured.
